Week 9 - Innocent [Rebekah]

Innocent.

As both Jeannette and Parker have pointed out, there is nobody who can be called innocent in the true meaning of the word; all have sinned. All fall short of the glory of God. Ava and Jenna here, 

not yet having attained to five years combined, have sinned. 

However, the word innocent can be meant a few different ways. It can mean the above, someone who has not ever sinned. It can mean a court case where the accused was not found guilty. There is another 

meaning though- someone who is naive, simple, not yet corrupted by the world.

And who can that mean but children, and things of children?

So here we are. 

Heffalumps, though, are not innocent. Poor Pooh!

 Just for the record, you could technically consider this blogpost an act of cheating. I actually took the pictures of the Wiltse girls late last year. They were perfect for what I wanted to do, so I went ahead and used them! All the other pictures were taken today.

This word makes me think of something that is small or helpless.

Or maybe something that is... not guilty? Hehe.

Given the truth of Romans 3:23, this week was difficult to find in pictorial form. But I think I finally succeeded.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, that light is innocent.

Week 9 - Innocent [Aaron]

Meet my two models of the week, Candie & Cassie. They are sisters that are part Shis Tzu and part Maltese (I checked those spellings and they are correct). Each one definitely has its own personality. Candie (the black and white one) is known for her love of food (which includes basically anything except ice-cream and hot tea) as well as her love for sleep and comfort. She enjoys barking at anything that she thinks is and sometimes isn't moving, cuddling (but only when she feels like it) and posing for pictures since she is pretty much photogenic. Cassie (the solid white one) is probably the loyalist of dogs, but only to her "leader"...which is my mom. She loves to chase things, and is quite comical because she never knows what to do with her "prey" when she catches it.

As for these pictures, poor Cassie is hating her inevitable bath after traipsing through the mud in an empty field. 

While Candie almost seems to be enjoying it.

Sorry, Parker. It's as predictable as it gets. But this is what was available and says innocent.

 

Ironically, as soon as I took the latter picture, I thought, This will work for innocent, and then immediately, but...she isn't. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. This particular little girl is a rascal. But, thanks be to God, He can see us as an innocent child through the blood of His innocent Son!
